Strata Sampling/Core Drilling
“You've got to have your mud just right,” says David Jaeger. David is an MHC X-Ploration
operator with over 20 years of service at the company. In addition to the many mechanical adjustments that
come into play, mud system management is crucial to proper core cutting and retrieval.
MHC X-Ploration takes pride in getting that hard to catch interval, and our clientele are
particularly pleased with this in areas requiring complete lithology description. Such areas include
new mine area and landfill expansion permitting where a complete sample record is required.
MHC X-Ploration utilizes a variety of sampling methods such as:
- Christensen® core barrels, small and large diameter
- Geoprobe® direct-push techniques
- Hollow-stem auger and continuous sampler

Water Well Drilling
Patience and mud management are the two key components to successful water well completion. A well
drilled hole with minimal formation damage will ensure maximum well production. Proper development is
also a key component.
MHC X-Ploration installs a wide range of wells from small diameter piezometers and test wells to large
diameter, high-production water wells.
